The U.S. Trade Representative is holding public hearings for feedback on its trade deal with Canada and Mexico this week, as part of the mandatory review of the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA). Julian Karaguesian, a former Ministry of Finance special adviser, has read dozens of the submissions from U.S. industry, and explains why many are providing ‘overwhelming support’ for renewing the deal.
